“Baby, I’m ready to go…from the rooftops, shout it out!”

That’s from a  tune that I have rocking on the Sirius 90’s station right now.  It seemed fitting for my mood at the moment, my own little serenade, if you will.

“Baby, I’m ready to go…from the rooftops, shout it out!” That’s also what Dr. D was saying as he was bopping around the exam roof after he caught a glimpse of my uterine lining.  If you’ve ever met Dr. D you would find that particularly humorous.  I said to his nurse, Joni, “Look, Joni, I wore this dress for you today since you liked it so much the last time I was in!” She smiled and asked Dr. D if he even noticed.  I chimed in and said, “NO.  He’s too busy looking at OTHER things (as my legs were in stirrups).”  He smiled and may have turned a little red and replied, “My eyes are glued to this screen (referring to the ultrasound monitor) and nothing else.  Trust me!”

So, my lining looks good and we are scheduled for our transfer of two growing, healthy and perfect snowbabies next Wednesday morning at 10:30 (EST)!

Please keep us in your thought and prayers.  We are getting ready for our pre and post transfer beach vacation, so we will be doing our part to be relaxed and ready.  This is the first time I’ve ever had to pack a bag full of medication and syringes for a vacation.  Progesterone starts Saturday!  YAY!  (That sounds really strange given the substantial needle and thick serum that is involved…but, to me it’s baby glue, and that’s exciting stuff!)

Just started following your blog recently. I am a fellow embryo adoption mom…I am 19 weeks pregnant with our adopted baby girl. I can’t wait for you to know this feeling. It is awesome. I love your idea of a nice vacation…and don’t worry…I have travelled with meds and needles too many times to count…I literally have shot up in the car, in public restrooms, at my desk….you just do what you have to do and you get really good at it. Don’t fear the progesterone injections…just put a little ice pack on your bumm for about 3-5 minutes before each shot and you will hardly feel a thing! I will be sending lots of baby dust your way in the coming days.
